ACDA Parking Services is responsible for the installation and maintenance of 1,400 on-street parking meter spaces throughout downtown Anchorage. By using meters to set time limits, we increase the number of motorists who can use a single space during the course of a day. Setting time limits on-street, increases parking opportunities for everyone and supports the growth of businesses in downtown Anchorage.

On-street parking meter regulations are only in effect Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and municipal holidays are free days!

ParkCARD
Many on-street parking meters in downtown Anchorage can be activated with a ParkCARD, quarters, dimes and nickels. ParkCARD eliminates the usage of coins and a way for businesses to track their expenses.

Meter Bags
Businesses needing to reserve on-street metered or signed spaces in the downtown area on a short term basis may rent meter bags or reserved/no parking signs from ACDA Parking Services.

Bus Loading Zones
ACDA Parking Services values tourism and supports the tour bus industry. ACDA Parking Services establishes bus loading zones for downtown Anchorage for safe and convenient loading and unloading of passengers during our high peak tourism season from May through September.
